Basic rules:
- Check that your passport is valid for at least the next six months.
- Get a tourist visa to Mexico for you and every member of your family. To do this, residents of the CIS need to fill out a short questionnaire on the embassy website of the country in which they will receive a visa. If you have an England, USA, or Schengen visa, you do not need to obtain a separate visa for Mexico. On a tourist visa, you are not allowed to work in Mexico. But remote work for an American company is still legal.
- You have to take all the necessary documents with you to pass the border control successfully:
- Printed Online authorization or visa (if you need visa),

- Printed Bank Statement,
- Printed back flight details (was sent to your email),
- Printed invitation to the event from the company (was sent to your email).
- Please note that the passport control officer will determine the expiration date of your visa. The maximum stay for citizens of Russia and the CIS is 180 days. In this case, in fact, the officer usually sets the number of days at his discretion, based on the dates of the hotel reservation and the date of the return ticket.
- Migration form (‘Forma Migratoria Múltiple’ or FMM).
- You’ll need to complete an immigration form and have this with you when you enter and leave Mexico. You can get an immigration form when you arrive (forms are available at border control or on-board before you get off the plane);
- Keep the immigration form until the end of the trip. You will need it to leave the country. If you lose your immigration form you can get it replaced at the immigration office at any international airport in Mexico. The cost of a replacement is $500 Mexican Pesos, which could be paid in a bank.
